The Reality of Public Policies in Algeria for Developing and Improving the Agricultural Sector

Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of public policies in Algeria aimed at developing the agricultural
sector and improving its performance by analyzing the impact of these policies on economic development. The
study found that the public policies targeting the agricultural sector have made some progress in enhancing
agricultural production and improving rural infrastructure. However, the sector still faces significant challenges
such as water scarcity, limited use of technology, and lack of funding. These challenges negatively affect the
sector's economic performance, highlighting the need for increased investment and public-private partnerships to
ensure sustainable development and achieve strategic goals.
