Prescribed linguistic politeness in Quranic discourse in light of modern theories of politeness, pragmatics and Face-Work

This work is part of the discourse analysis relating to verbal interactions analysis.It proposes the
study of the management of faces in some situations of interaction in co-presence in the quranic discourse.It
is concerned with some ayat extracted from two suras The Cow (El Baqara) and The Women (Ennissaâ), with
deals with interpersonal relationships.Our aim is to identify certain particularities of verbal behavior relating
to politeness, prescribed by the Koran.This work aims for an analysis that draws from modern theories of
face management, pragmatics and the theory of politeness.
