L’ imitation : Entre Angoisse Et Richesse
Keywords:
Literature ; imitation ; plagiarism ; pastiche ; influence ; originality ; identity.Abstract
What makes us sometimes hear the echo of a novel in another novel? Why literary critics speak of a text with hugolian, mallarmean, gidian, sarrautian, etc. accents. ? We do not create from nothing. To create, the writer needs material since one always creates compared to other works that preceded. Imitation is a natural fact of creation, so it is difficult to say that one creates without being able to deprive oneself of any imitation. The fear of imitation refers to a primordial question in literature: what is original in this text? What has he been able to bring back into an already imitative literary field where everything has already been said? The purpose of this article is to show that imitation constitutes a vast place for reflection on the question of influence, identity and originality in literature.
