Contact De Langues, Representation Et Strategies Identitaires Dans La Chanson Des Jeunes Algeriens
Keywords:

Our contribution aims to observe the contact of languages and to unveil the identity strategies in
Algeria updated in the Algerian popular song. We are particularly interested in contemporary Algerian song,
represented by a new wave of singers, such as Mouh Milano or Raja Meziane Victoria who seem to us to be
part of a process of identity building of young Algerians. This new generation stands out for its ability to mix
languages but also to deal with themes where their identity and cultural representations appear. This new
style of song expresses the beliefs of young Algerians and their opinions on various subjects. A real culture is
built through these songs. Their themes express the pressing desire for social or political change while
maintaining a fidelity to their identity. Our analysis of the problems will reveal two irreconcilable methods
for us, discursive and sociolinguistic. A questionnaire that we have developed aims to confirm our results by
the representations on the Algerian culture and identity of the speakers revealed in their answers.
