Keywords:
Stereotyping, deconstruction, representation, media, literatureAbstract
This article explores the notion of stereotypes and prejudices. Stereotypes are simplified beliefs
shared by a community, often related to race, sex, nationality, etc. They have been present in literature and
culture for a long time, but their deconstruction has become important for a more nuanced understanding and
acceptance of diversity. Media and literature play a key role in creating and challenging these stereotypes. The
article aims to examine how they are constructed and deconstructed through series, films and novels to foster
a better understanding and acceptance of social groups, cultures and individuals.
