Le Vêtement Traditionnel Féminin Dans La Semiosphère Culturelle Algéroise : ‎de L’auto-description Au Métissage.‎

Abstract

Le vêtement traditionnel algérien est porteur de spécificités culturelles et désigne souvent la stabilité et ‎l’atemporalité. Mais faut-il aussi le concevoir comme l’expression d’un métissage ? En exploitant le concept de ‎Lotman, nous tentons de découvrir les spécificités du vêtement traditionnel féminin en tant que composante de la ‎sémiosphère algéroise, en passant de l’étape d’auto-description comme marque identitaire à celle du métissage. Sur ‎la base des écrits d’historiens du costume algérien tels que Leyla Belkaïd, nous nous interrogeons sur le sens ‎véhiculé par le vêtement traditionnel algérois et sur sa contribution à mettre en valeur le rôle médiateur de la ‎sémiotique.‎ Abstract : Traditional Algerian clothing carries cultural specificities and often designates stability and ‎timelessness. However, should it also be conceived as the expression of mixed breeding? By exploiting Lotman's ‎concept, we try to discover the specificities of traditional women's clothing as a component of the semiosphere ‎from Algiers region, passing from the stage of self-description as an identity mark to that of mixed breeding. Based ‎on the writings of historians of algerian costume such as Leyla Belkaïd, we question the meaning conveyed by ‎traditional algerian clothing and its contribution to highlighting the mediating role of semiotics.‎
