Abstract

Autofiction is defined as a hybrid narrative combining the author's personal life and fiction, as GASPARINI explains. The diary, on the other hand, is a different literary genre in that it represents an intimate text. This article will examine generic hybridity in Suzanne EL KENZ's La Maison du Néguev. The aspect we are interested in here is its intimate link with the psychology of the writer. In what way does generic hybridity reflect the porosity of the frontiers between the different genres of writing about the Self, in particular autofiction and the Diary in La Maison du Néguev?
