Bras de fer entre nature et machine : une étude écopoétique de Timimoun de Rachid Boudjedra
Arm-wrestling between Nature and Machine : An Eco-poetic Study of Timimoun by Rachid Boudjedra
Keywords:
Nature, machine, modernity, eco-poetic, intratextuality and intertextuality.Abstract
This article is an eco-poetic study of the arm-wrestling between nature and machine in Rachid
Boudjedra's Timimoun. Boudjedra uses figures of speech to highlight the power of nature over the modernity
machines. He uses an aesthetic of war combined with intra and intertextuality to strengthen and unify the
elements of nature. He places nature in symbiosis with its fauna with the aim of enabling it to rise above the
polluted world of machines towards a sanitised, polished universe saved from a modernity leading it into
decay
