Abstract

This article intends to analyze the transgressive scope of the novel "Minuit à Alger" by the Algerian writer Nihed El Alia. The issue is to understand how, through a unique writing that defies established norms, the author, through the novel's protagonist, manages to express an emancipated female speech and desire, opening new perspectives both in literary and social terms. A literary and stylistic reading will examine the plurality of linguistic registers used, mirrors of the complexity of contemporary Algerian identity. The challenge will be to reveal how the originality of this work lies in its liberating momentum, pushing the formal and societal boundaries imposed on women. It also aims to highlight the subversive power of literature to give voice to the intimate and to mobilize the imagination to transform reality.
