The museum challenges Claude Simon's writing!

A number of Claude Simon's texts, in which the theme of the museum runs through the text, were used for the study. Is it because the novelist attaches importance to memory? He believes that ‘there is no literature without memory’, and gives his diegesis a kind of museum-like form. In his work, however, the museum is perceived in a dichotomous way: classically, it seems to be cloaked in spirituality, with no living experience of the visitor; contemporary, it is more expressive and more inclined to a form of interaction that engages the visitor. The oxymoronic configuration of the museum presented by Simone's work allows us to reflect on the narrative motifs of admiration and those of contempt for the museum institution.
