Abstract

En faisant de l’extase mystique l’expression élémentaire de la vie religieuse, l’étude des œuvres autobiographiques des mystiques chrétiens allait donner, au tournant du XXe siècle, une coloration érotique à la première polémique de la psychologie de la religion. Le présent article propose de retracer les grandes lignes théoriques et argumentatives de cette controverse.
