Abstract

This paper advocates reconsidering the ESP teacher profile and necessary education. Through a descriptive-analytical investigation, the researcher aims to examine teachers’ knowledge and perception of the ESP practitioner’s primary roles and to explore their attitude toward the importance of digital literacy skills as a completion to the ESP practitioner’s profile. A questionnaire was posted online to several ESP teachers from different Higher education departments to reach the study objectives. Results revealed the necessity of including digital literacy training programs in teacher education to satisfy ESP learners’ learning needs in a digital environment.
