Scriptural fluctuation and literary genre in Jean-Marie Gustave Le Clézio's The interrogation
Keywords:
Literary genre, the writing style, textual heterogeneity, the generic hybridity, scriptural fluctuation, explosion of genresAbstract
the novel Le Procès-verbal by the writer Jean-Marie Gustave Le Clézio, described as
"unclassifiable", does not fit into any literary genre. This article focuses on the particular (sui generis) writing
style of the writer. This process ensures the introduction of fiction into other modes of expression, resulting
in textual heterogeneity which, in turn, leads to generic hybridity. The textual space is then transformed by
the scriptural fluctuation (variation) that favours the explosion of genres.
