Towards an authentic pedagogy: the use of explanatory procedures to promote oral comprehension skill among students of FFL

This paper relates to the exploitation of the authentic audiovisual document in favor of
comprehension skill among French undergraduate students. For this, an experiment was conducted with a few
students to see the contribution of this document to the development of this skill. The results of this
experience showed us that the frequent use of explanatory procedures favored the process of oral
comprehension in these students while motivating them to analyze similar documents.
