This article deals with the work of author Taos Amrouche through a reading that combines memory
and history. All the Amrouchian novels (Jacinthe noire, Rue des Tambourins, l’Amant imaginaire et Solitude
ma mère) they will be treated both through a genrological and chronotopic reading in order to achieve a
historical representation of Algeria at a given point in its history, based on mainly female voices.
