Abstract

This research is part of an interdisciplinary field in order to lift the veil on the region of Aurès
during the colonial era and more precisely at the beginning of the XXth century. Aurès, a region known for
its ethnographic, cultural and also linguistic diversity. The woman is at the center of the reflection where
we called on French women authors who lived in the region to measure the gaze of the Other on the
Aurassian woman.
