Keywords:
memory, history, fiction, intersection, detective writingAbstract
The interweaving of History and fiction in the novel responds to scriptural and aesthetic imperatives
allowing the work to maintain its internal coherence and respond to the project of its author. That said, from
such a perspective, each writer uses his own literary processes as a singular poetics, which marks his writing.
Whithin the framework of such a problem, the work of Nourredine Saadi never ceases to question the
relationships between History and fiction and to redraw the boundaries between the factual and the fictional.
In his latest novel entitled Boulevard de l’abîme, Saadi attempts to reconstruct the history of colonial Ageria
through fiction thus giving rise to heterogeneous and singular writing. From then, we will attempt to examine
the poetics of this writing, wich allows such an intersection between History and fiction in the novel in question
