In this historical moment that Syria is going through, with the overthrow of the Bashar Al Assad regime; we are conducting this research that returns to the ability of children's literature to take part in the ideological struggle and position itself as a counter-discourse against the hegemonic discourse of the regime. Indeed, we question here the ability of the comic book by Nicolas Hénin and Park Kyung: Haytham, a Syrian youth (2016); to highlight the opposition between discourse and counter-discourse through semiotic codes but also discursive means through visual argumentation.
