Nefertiti and Akhnaton's Dream: A Scribe's Memoirs is a novel by the Syrian-Lebanese writer Andrée Saab Chédid, a text that in fact lends itself to different analyses and readings. In addition to the intertextual aspect that she brings to the fore through numerous historical events and referential characters, the mythological aspect is omnipresent. In this contribution, we will look for traces of ancient Egyptian mythology, which forms the starting point for this novel. Egyptian mythology in Chedidian writing regenerates another divine mythical figure: the great royal wife Nefertiti.
