La ville aux yeux d'or by Keltoum Staali reveals Meryem's memories of Algiers, a bewitching city that seduces her admirers. Between fascination and disillusionment, the heroine reveals herself in an intimate confession. This article examines how the myth of Ulysses intertwines with the novel, the narrator recalling the hero of the Odyssey in many ways. We will explore these analogies through mythocritical analysis, to reveal the subtle links between the two characters.
