Since the discovery in 1996 of new manuscripts of general linguistics by Ferdinand de Saussure and their publication in 2002, by Simon Bouquet and Rudolph Engler, accompanied by ancient Saussurian texts, linguistics has reinforced its break with the teaching Linguistics of the Course of General Linguistics attributed to F. de Saussure. The reading of these new texts revealed the gap between modern research in language science and the teaching of linguistics in the Arab world.
