SCIENTIFIC INTEGRITY IN THE DIGITAL AGE: TOWARDS COLLECTIVE ETHICAL RESPONSIBILITY
Keywords:
Scientific integrity, information and communication sciences, digital era, social media, ethical responsibility.Abstract
nformation and communication sciences have for many years invested digital spaces, to
disseminate the results of research, to draw body of studies and to create areas of investigation. Is digital
research going to tip ethical questions, or is it old questions under a new look? After having presented the
conceptual framework of this reflection, we deepen the analysis through some cases by highlighting the
tensions in the ethical reflections raised by these situations. To conclude, we will ask ourselves whether we
should move towards an institutionalization of ethical procedures, as institutions from other countries or
other disciplines in the humanities and social sciences do.
