The reception of the migrant’s image: between representations and interpretative readings among in the Algerian context

In thisresearch, we are interested in the study of the reception of the fixed image and its
importance as an authentic support in the triggering of situations of reflection and interpretation for a
better understanding of the phenomenon of “harga” in an Algerian school context. The goal of this
work is twofold: on the one hand, it allows the learner to situate his point of view in order to
consolidate it, revise it according to the circumstances of meaning reception among his comrades
thanks to an image analysis by his teacher using a semio-communicational approach, and with the help
of a questionnaire data collection. On the other hand, it is utilized to better understand the reasons
for illegal immigration, as well as to identify solutions and limit the disadvantages of this phenomenon
and promote media literac
